Applications, which created the first graphical Web browser,
Mosaic. The University also has the third largest academic
library and the largest public engineering library (Grainger

UIUC's sports teams, nicknamed the Fighting Illini (pronounced
eye-LIE-nigh), compete in Division I (I-A for football)
as a member of the Big Ten Conference.
